Three years ago when I joined MapPoint (and Microsoft), I never thought I would fall in love with MapPoint technology so much; now after three fantastic years, I’m humbled to share with you that my book, “Programming MapPoint in .NET” is available in stores. This book comes from by O’Reilly and covers MapPoint 2004, MapPoint Web Service, Microsoft Location Server and Virtual Earth. You can read the full press release here.
I will continue supporting any MapPoint related questions on my blog as well as the Book’s support site: http://www.programmingmappoint.net. Using these two sites, I will continue to update the book's sections to keep the content up-to-date; in the mean time, if you have any questions, issues, please don’t hesitate to ping me directly.
You can purchase the book on Amazon and I look forward to hear your feedback.
As always, it goes without saying that writing a book is just not an individual effort – it is a collective effort that involves many friends, peers and mentors - so - a big thank you to each and every single one of you. I’m grateful to my colleagues at MapPoint for creating such a fantastic array of products to write about. Also my special thanks to my editor Simon and O’Reilly for signing up this book.
Sincerely, Chandu Thota
